TAKING BACK CONGRESS IN 2010
(Why the move to elect Independents is so dangerous)

It is NOT to late to turn back to the principles of limited government that our Founding Fathers incorporated into our Constitution and that is why the upcoming 2010 election is so critically important.

The majority of Americans strongly oppose the Democrats’ rapid expansion of Government, increase in Federal debt and spiraling descent into Socialism. Because of this anger by most Americans, it is expected that the upcoming mid-term election in 2010 will be watershed election, with an expected bumper crop of conservatives elected into both the House and Senate.

There is, however, a very real impediment to this retaking of our Congress and subsequent move away from Socialism - that is the splitting of the conservative/limited government vote. There is a movement afoot among a small faction of the newly energized Tea Party conservatives to throw out all of the elected members of Congress and elect either new or independent representatives. This movement would pit their candidates against candidates from the Democrat and Republican parties and would likely have a “Ross Perot Effect” by draining votes primarily from the Republican candidates, guaranteeing a victory for the Big Government Socialist leaning Democrats.

What should Limited Government Supporters do?

• Remain rational and realize this has been tried before, resulting in Teddy Roosevelt and Jimmy Carter. If I were Obama or Nancy Pelosi or George Soros, I would be financing independents, as this will ensure that the radical left will remain in office and in control of the US Senate and House.

• Make fact based rather than emotional responses to how bad you feel. I might be pissed at Republicans but the facts are they are not the same as Democrats. Fact --- the most recent Senate vote was 60 to 39 not 100 to 0. Fact ---- the House vote on Healthcare was not 435 to zero.

• Watch the “State Supported Media” to see who they support. NBC, ABC, and CNN all reported the Tea Party poll numbers and talked up promotion of independents just like they talked up McCain to ensure a win for Obama.

• Take back the Republican Party. Notice the extreme left didn’t succeed by starting a new party --- they took over the Democrat Party. The PA Coalition has already been talking to and helping honestly conservative candidates throughout PA to make sure we have viable limited government candidates to run against liberal, left-leaning Big Government Congressmen.

The Pennsylvania Coalition encourages you to (1) get involved in party politics at the precinct level (2) get involved with good candidates to enable their campaigns at the grass roots level and (3) if you have limited time find the people who are involved --- get on their email lists and create your own email lists so you can educate and influence voters. This election is too important for you to stay on the sidelines. We will have future updates about how to engage in all three activities.
