A successful inaugural meeting of the PCRG was held in Pittsburgh on April 23, 2009 with a sizeable crowd in attendance (in spite of a Penguins/Flyers playoff game in town). The attendees heard impassioned talks by officers of the organization concerning the need for grass roots involvement, in being effective agents of change, and how the Coalition can provide guidance to individuals to make a difference.
The featured speaker was Matthew Brouillette, President of the Commonwealth Foundation www.commonwealthfoundation.org who presented his talk on “Capitalism Still Works”.
The upcoming 2010 election cycle will be supremely important and we must all work hard to ensure that we promote and elect representatives at local, state and federal levels that share our mutual goals of limited government, promotion of free enterprise and the empowerment of the individual.
Our next planned meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 25th in Pittsburgh with the speaker and venue to be determined. We also plan to hold educational seminars periodically with initial focus on:
CO2 Cap and Trade
Energy (Specifically energy in PA)
Immigration

Thanks so much to those who have contributed financially to PA Coalition, as we are truly a grass roots organization and self-funded, not an Astroturf organization funded by wealthy right wing conservatives as Nancy Pelosi has contended!
We would very much like to expand out of our original western PA focus area. We are looking for motivated individuals to extend our reach throughout PA. We can provide support and central organization to those wishing to set up branches in other areas.
