WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!

In an incredible abuse of his office in promoting Governor Rendell’s bloated budget, the PA Environmental Protection Secretary John Hanger issued a Press Release on 5/12/09 http://www.ahs2.dep.state.pa.us/newsreleases/default.asp?ID=5504 claiming that the Republicans’ proposed budget cuts would lead to:
• Dirty Water
• Higher Electric Bills
• Devastating Floods
• Swarms of biting insects
• Increase in West Nile Virus

State Senator Mary Jo White, Chairman of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee responded with a missive of her own to Mr. Hanger which I think you will find enlightening. http://www.senatormjwhite.com/PDF/2009/DEP-051209.pdf

When I called Hanger’s Press Secretary Teresa Candori (717-787-1323) to complain about the Release, I was asked by her secretary who I was. I told her that I was a tax-payer, to which she chuckled and said “A tax-payer? (snort) Ms. Candori only speaks with the press”. It is time to hold these arrogant tax and spend statists to account.
